jre indicates to me that this is NOT the complete SDK and e(fx)clipse expects the complete SDK e.g. to get the javadocs, access to the ant-tasks for packageing, ....
I have to get JDK 7 for my mac myself to see what is there but currently I'm leaning towards not fix for this
